Washington DC, here we come!

Here is the promised Washington DC plan! As always, this is God willing... :)

Friday, June 2- drive as far as we can, leaving either at noon or right after Dennis gets off work. We hope to stay in a motel this night.

Saturday, June 3- drive and arrive at Greenbelt National Park, near DC. Set up camp. This campground doesn't have water or power at the sites, but it does have hot showers. It is 2-3 miles away from the metro station, and only 12 miles away from downtown DC. I believe it is a nice park area though. We'll see!

Sunday, June 4- go to church and relax.

Monday, June 5- Take the metro to Washington DC for the morning and early afternoon, then back to the campground to rest.

Tuesday, June 6- Ocean Day! We are hoping to go down the coast of Delaware, go to the ocean for the morning and early afternoon, then take the scenic route back to camp (check out the atlas for the scenic route, it is on there). Hopefully the girls will sleep on the way home!

Wednesday, June 7- Recuperate. Maybe shop or drive around.

Thursday, June 8- Sandy Point beach on the Chesapeake Bay.

Friday, June 9- Washington DC again for the morning and early afternoon, then back to camp.

Saturday, June 10- aftenoon baseball game with Dennis' beloved Washington Nationals. (Pray that the girls are in good humor!!!)

Sunday, June 11- drive home.

The trip is about 10 1/2 hours. We are pretty excited! More updates to come, if I get time between packing suitcases. :)
