Job Update

Thanks for your prayers! Dave got to have a talk with the manager of his part of the plant. Dave got to communicate that he desires to grow in his career and has been wanting to move into the next level for a while now... Considering what is going on at this location, he thinks now is a good time to at least try for another job. The manager was very receptive to everything Dave said! The conversation was such a blessing, and it just confirmed what we were thinking.

There is a job in La Porte, TX (that's pretty much Houston) that might be a fit. We were pleased to hear that it is a nice plant with good people working there. But we were also very happy that the manager told Dave the he may or may not be who the TX plant is looking for. So Dave is going to float his resume out to that plant and see if they're interested.


Dave and I both would love to live in that area. We think it would serve our family in so many ways. However, we are trying to keep our desires on the alter - God's ways are higher than ours, and he knows best. So please pray that God would open and close doors according to his will: for our good and his glory. It may take a few weeks to know if La Porte (refered to as the Bayport plant) is interested in Dave's resume. We are asking for God's mercy. We don't deserve a new job or favor with this plant, but Christ does! And any good thing that has come our way is because we belong to Christ.
